Chemo Day 1

Off to Johns Hopkins with Frank. Sally is meeting us there! (yawn!) thanks for your prayers for no apprehension of this unknown! Smooth sailing and all those other Irish Blessings of having the wind at you back and all that! I have strapped on the Full Armor of God (Ephesians 6) and am ready to go!! He is my shield…I am under the shelter of His mighty arms. And the chemo warriors are going to zap those cells!

Thanks for your prayers throughout the day. It’s so great knowing you are out there!

Psalm 56:3.

More laterr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. When I had my treatment, I visualized chemo as a PacMan game (am I giving away my age?). So, I can see all these little PacMan figures gobbling up all those cancer cells, even as I write this.

  5. Thanks that the 'waiting' game is over....I told you that would be the worst part of this whole thing. Hang in there and keep your hair....I still have my old wig and it is sexy!

  8. Hi Carol. Larry had lunch yesterday with Bill V., Gusman, Vince and others I'm forgetting. They all think you're the coolest, gutsiest woman on earth. Me too! Larry is a miracle - he survived a horrendous set of circumstances that would have killed most men his age. Here's to two miracles. Bring on the miracles! XXOO Brenda

  10. My very first blog! First texting and now blogging -- guess I'm being pulled into the 21st century like it or not. Well, enough about me. Obviously, bad news travels quickly through the electronic grapevine so everyone who has ever known you will probably check in with good wishes eventually. Us old Lockheedians are thinking about you and wishing you only the best. Love to you and Frank. Galen

  13. Dear Carol,
You are in the best spot you can be - in His hands, in His care and in His place.
Thought about you and Frank today and I hope you are both resting peaceably after a long Thursday.
Much love and we continue to pray - as I shared with Frank, just as he was sending me an email that you were cleared for chemo, I received a call from our priest, Betsy, who was checking in on your progress and working to "tailor" our group's prayer - I spoke with her for a while and then looked to see Frank's email with your happy news! As I emailed to Frank, there are no coincidences - just His plan and on His timeline.
    Much love,
    Lynne

  18. Carol,
I love the words to this song.

He promises to hold my hand. He promises to help me stand. When the valley is too low and the river is wide, he will lead me to the other side.
Living in his word I will overcome. Standing on God's promises one by one.

    With much love & prayer
    Patty
