Call for Prayer!

Good morning everyone! This is Sally writing with a brief update and specific prayer requests for Carol.
Carol's pain continues. And management with drugs has proven difficult and uncomfortable. So the wonderful doctors at Johns Hopkins have suggested a procedure called a celiac plexus nerve block to relieve much (if not all!) of Carol's pain and hopefully allow her to use less painkillers. The procedure will take place tomorrow (Friday) at 1:00pm. Please pray fervently that the block is successful and brings relief!
In the meantime, today brings a new round of chemo. Carol seems to be responding well to the new "cocktail" JH has devised at a slightly lower dose. Less fatigue and nausea! An answered prayer, for sure!!
More updates from Carol are coming. Just wanted to let you know what's happening. And ask you to keep Carol in your prayers these two important days!

    Thank you Sally for specifically telling us what Carol needs.
    I will be playing golf this morning,but will pray for Carol on each hole and
    that the block will be successful and that God will make the pain go away.

    Thanks for the update Sally. As it is Thursday and a "chemo" week we especially have Carol in our thoughts. Glad to hear the "cocktail" is giving some relief for the nausea!!
    We will continue our positive thoughts that all goes well tomorrow.

    Thanks for the specifics on Carol's needs during this particular time Sally. Knowledge is power, and knowing what to pray for is a potent tool! Onward ~ Forward....Let's ask the Father to replace the pain with merciful comfort and give Carol a newfound energy! The Gordons are in in high gear prayer and will continue to be. Love, Jane

    Thanks, "Sally B" for the update. We pray that that nerve block is successful and that Carol feels relief. We continually pray that the chemo continues to "do its job" and dim those cells.     As always, Carol is in the Levys' prayers - day & night (said a special one yesterday at services, Mrs. Marshall). Stay positive about the block - I'm hopeful that it will work.

    Carol, Our hearts and prayers are with you that you get the relief and more good news
    like two weeks ago. We follow your journey
    with amazement at your spirit and resolve. Also, loved hearing about the wedding festivities--there is nothing more hopeful than being surrounded by those happy, bright and beautiful young girls.

    What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear, what a privilege to carry EVERYTHING to God in prayer. So we bring all the pain and new treatment and the procedure and lay it all at the Masters feet, may your will be done, oh Lord Most High, be a fence all around Carol, everyday.
