Message from Sally

I know how often this blog is checked. And how disappointing it must be to find no entry. I'm sorry.
The truth is, not much has changed. Carol remains in Georgetown Hospital in critical condition. And we are keeping vigil. Frank, Chip, Christine & Erik, Andrew, Ruth, Wayne and Barbara take turns being with Carol around the clock.
Please know that I will update the blog with any change. And that all your thoughts, wishes and prayers are so very, very appreciated.
Sally

  3. Thank you Sally, for your much appreciated update. We all yearn to know how our precious friend it doing during this very uncertain time. Please do continue the updates -- especially for those of us across the continent that are so far away from this dear family. We love them all and want to pray effectively for each and every one of them...and for sweet Carol, our sister in the Lord --- may the ministry of the Holy Spirit FILL her and surround her with His intercession, power, and love. Our God is the foundation of the universe, yet has compassion on those He calls His own, namely Carol.

Much love to all, Jeff and Jane Gordon

  4. Thank you so much Sally! You are so right about how many times we all check this blog-even in the middle of the night. We are all praying for the God of all Comfort to bless everyone, especially precious Carol, with His peace and Holy Spirit Presence! "Our God is an Unfailing God" was one of the praise songs at church last night. All we could think of was how mightily Carol and Frank have glorified Him through it all.

    Sending so much love,

    Camilla

  5. Oh Carol, we want you to stay; we want you to be here, with us; we want more of your smile and your laugh and your heart and your wisdom -- but that is so selfish of us. Most of all we want you to be without pain, and we want you to experience joy again. Thank you for blessing our lives. We trust you to the One who loves you perfectly. jwc

  10. This blog has been such a powerful medium of prayer and love. It's reassuring how many people there are that not only have faith in God but are fervently praying for your dear mom and family. Providing a window into such a vulnerable, difficult time in your family's life can't be easy so I thank you for sharing these updates. I pray they keep your mom's pain managed and I continue to pray for a turnaround. As your girlfriend, Christine, it breaks my heart to see you going through this difficult time. I'm here for you anytime of the day and am standing by to help with anything you need.
    Love,
    Leslie

  21. To Dear Carol and her Family,
Only God can know the whys of wherefores of your life, not mankind, since only He holds the keys to His Eternal Plan for each of us. Insurance and doctors may lose hope, but our Lord never does. May the Lord through His Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus Christ—THEY ALONE—guide your decisions and path to sure victory in the name of Jesus Christ. You are loved by so many, not the least of which, is your Lord God in the Glory of His Holy Trinity—all working for you.
    Linda Liotta

Consider Joseph betrayed and sold into slavery by his brothers, his pain and anguish, his faithfulness to the Lord, leading to deliverance from death for his betrayers:
    Genesis 45: 1-15

Consider Elijah, longing to die, but saved by the instructions of an angel of the Lord because God had more for him to do. He listened and heard the still small voice of his God.
    1 Kings 19:

And consider our own Dear Christ’s pain and anguish to give us LIFE
    Matthew 27: 46-53

  23. Dearest Carol,
I had a dream about you last night, the first time I have had one about you in a while. I told you I would see you again!!! (If only in my dreams). It was so wonderful to see your beautiful face and hear your special voice. We had fun visiting and laughing. I don't know where we were, it was kind of strange. (I could hear Frank's voice in the background the whole time). I won't go into details in a public forum, but wanted to let you know, I am with you in spirit. I awoke with a heavy heart today, it must have been one heck of a conversation we had. (Maybe we were talking politics, you know I always relied on you for that)!!! (Now thats one heck of a heavy subject). Anyways my sweet friend, I hope you are finding peace and your pain is under control. We know our lives are planned for us, and those plans often times aren't the plans we had hoped for, but the Lord is in control. You know the old saying, "We plan and God smiles". Unfortunately, I haven't listened to my own advice, and have allowed myself to flare, and have been in terrible pain for the last few weeks, barely leaving the house, (see I told you I was with you in spirit). I hope you are still checking in on your blog, and seeing all of the Love that is pouring out to you. Sure wish I would have made that Eric Clapton concert in 2004, with you when I was visiting, don't know if you remember that. You came looking for me at the hotel, I again was not feeling well and was sleeping. But always remember, "You Gotta Keep Dancin", wherever you are.
    Love You Forever my friend,
    Carol J.
