A Short Update

I thought you would want to know that I saw Carol today and she continues to rest comfortably in hospice care. Her pain seems to be under control.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful messages you have posted during the last few weeks. I can't imagine not being with Carol on this journey. It has been my privilege!

Love,
Sally

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him."

  3. Dear Carol & Family,
As always, it is amazing and at the same time so humbling the love, support and outreach that has been witnessed and shared on this blog. You are are a "force of nature" that touched so many, taught so many and graced so many. It was a blessing to be in your CBS Bible Study group for 2 years. It it was not for you, we would not be blessed with our adopted little angel from
China, Addison Grace. It was by God's grace and you being the angel that connected us with her. Her middle name is Grace..."by the Grace of God". You and your family plus dear Sally continue to be in prayers and thoughts daily.
Thank you for being you....I have grown so much. Love, Mary Beth

  10. Sally, Your faithfulness to update the blog has kept us all connected to our wonderful friend, Carol. Even way out here in Oklahoma, we feel as if we have been a part of this journey you have shared with the Marshalls. Mark, Allison, Amy and her friend Kim, Brandon and Andrea all check the blog daily and pray. It has been so amazing to see all the lives Carol has touched. Even in her pain, she ministers and inspires. I am so grateful that God ordained our paths to cross. May Carol and all who are keeping vigil with her hide under the Shadow of His Wings this day and find Peace. Our love and prayers, Susan W.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to you as you walk through this time. Bob and I ache when we think that we are finally here in VA yet unable to be with Carol and you and share stories and laughter and hugs. Please know that we are here and looking for ways to reach out to you all to support, care and show how much we love you.
May our mighty God give you abundant strength and comfort.
Please whisper to Carol that we love her so.

  12. Sally,
Thank you so much for keeping us updated. I, along with many others, check this site daily. I too feel so blessed that our Lord placed Carol and her family in my life. I will never forget helping her with "behind the scenes" during our Christmas dinners at ABF. She is an amazing and precious woman. We continue to hold her and her family up in prayer ... for peace, strength, and comfort. Please let her know that we love her so.

  13. Dearest Carol, you made us feel as part of your family including us in all the family updates even after becoming bi-coastal. What a privilege. Your love for the Lord is an example for us to follow...Frank we love you & Carol & kids, and are praying hourly since we heard the news. God’s Mercy the Bible tells us that God’s mercy is new every morning. “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning” (Lamentations 3:23). Your brother and sister, John & Bonnie V.

  14. Dear Frank, Christine, Erik, Chip, Andrew, Ruth and Sally,

Please know that I am praying for each of you for your faith, strength, courage, comfort and peace. Going through this shadowed valley, God is still leading and loving in your lives. My heart aches for you during this time and I lift each of you up to our Lord. Please thank Carol for me for the way she allowed the Lord to love others through her. I feel so blessed to know her and see Christ living in her in such a powerful way. What a light! My brother was looking at her picture from the wedding and commented on her sweet face. I told him that was a reflection of her heart.

It was so wonderful to be at your beautiful wedding and I thought of that day this past Sat. at Stephanie's wedding. We were looking out over the water from the church and couldn't help but remember your beautiful setting on the eastern shore.

Please tell Carol I love her and she will always me in my heart.
    Love in Him,
    Carrie M.

We love her dearly anrd know that God is right there by her side every minute . We are just one of the many groups of people she has touched with her spirit, energy, and enthusiasm. 21. Dear Carol,

We continue to pray Ephesians 3:20 for all of you, "Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.." May the Lord show Himself powerful on your behalf all to His glory!

All of us in CBS are sending love to all of you as you walk through this time of waiting on the Lord.
