Welcome to News About Carol

Carol Marshall has so many adoring fans and caring friends, I was finding it hard to keep up with everyone! My emailbox has been full every night with prayers, love and good wishes for Carol. And I have feverishly tried to edit, pass along and post addresses. Then someone suggested a blog! So here we are . . . the Carol Marshall daily press! Complete with space for you to send your thoughts and prayers right to Carol and she can look at them whenever she wants. Just please don't expect a response. She barely has time to read what's coming in!!
But know that she appreciates each and every email. They soothe her, strengthen her and fortify her for the days ahead. She loves each and every one of you and wants you to know she carries you in her heart!

  1. Hi Carol, I received your prayer request in Precepts at ABF. I never had the opportunity to get to know you at ABF. I am now at Grace Community Church. I wanted to encourage you and to let you know that many of us from the body of Christ have come before the throne of grace to seek the LORD's healing and mercy during this challenging time in you life. We just finished studying Nahum. There is a wonderful verse in Nahum 1:7 "The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him." Theresa Roberts

  2. Hi Carol!

When Susan Vreeland (author of our latest Book Club pick - "Luncheon of the Boating Party") was
hospitalized and undergoing treatment for lymphoma, she surrounded herself with beautiful Art books, taped uplifting quotes to the front of her hospital room door (so everyone
could experience a moment of inspiration before they entered her room!) and she hung this big sign on her hospital window . . .

"Every morning lean thine arms a while upon the windowsill of heaven and gaze upon the Lord. Then with the vision in thy heart, turn strong to meet the day."

What a wonderful way to greet each day ~

    Much Love to you,
    Lynda

  4. Hi Carol: As you make your way through the desert, keep your eye out for the vivid desert flowers. They remind us that miracles exist. When they appear, the barren desert is transformed into a technicolor blanket that is uplifting and a reminder that even in the desert, flowers bloom.
Owen and I send our prayers and love.

  5. Blessings, Carol!
As I prayed for you this morning, I reread Psa 91, which encouraged me so much when I had my melanoma. Who but someone special like you would/could learn to set up a blog in the midst of all-else-that-is-on-your-plate??? You make me smile. I'm in there fighting for you, my friend, the best way I know how. Love and prayers without ceasing,
    Kristy

  6. Hello Carol! We have not met, but we know each other through our daughters, Christine, yours, and Katie Byers, mine. Aren't we blessed to have such great girls? My husband and I have been anxious to hear what is going on with you since Christine was with us in Colorado when much of what you write about in your blog was happening. I have passed your blog on to my daughter-in-law, Lauren Averett Byers, who is an oncology fellow at the famous MD Anderson hospital in Houston. Lauren did her residency at Johns Hopkins and says you are in the best facility possible for your care. Your blog shows you have tremendous religious and inner strength to help you get through all of this and YOU WILL! I wish there could be something for us to do to help. We think the world of Christine. You can count on the fact that you are in my daily prayers and rosaries.

    Most sincerely, Barbara Byers

    Love and prayers
