Today's Procedure

A note from Sally . . .
Frank called to say that Carol is back home in Georgetown and resting following the endoscopic procedure today at Johns Hopkins. It was decided that the stent was not doing any harm where it was resting and didn't have to be moved. The doctors will re-check in two weeks.
So . . . clearance was given for a soft diet! Sounds good when you've been on clear liquid for weeks! And the team will convene on Wednesday
at Hopkins for CT scans, blood work and a pow-wow to determine the next course of treatment.
Then on to the shore for some R&R, sunshine and good nutrition!

  1. Mrs. Marshall!
I was so looking forward to seeing you at the Alexander's, I'm so sorry it didnt work out. I'll be anticipating the next time we meet but until the then I'll be waiting...Praying that God would intervene and that His will would be done. God is Awesome and holy and great! And im sure He is smiling down and looking at all the laughter and joy you bring to so many people. Its no shocker that you're an amazing light in several lives including mine. Whether it be your graceful sense of humor or your undying love for Christ you always seem to worm your way into the many hearts you've blessed. I know its been a while since we last shared conversation..actually its been almost seven years! But when I came to Washington D.C you were the most fun "grown up" I'd ever met! We made memories that will last a lifetime...That can never be replaced and I owe it all to you! Even something as simple as the chocolate muffin you treated me to! It just came naturally to you...to be so thoughtful and kind. I hope we can meet again soon and I'll be praying for you trying to think of words of encouragement and love
    Your little grocery buddy,
    Rachel D.

  2. Enjoy your rest at the shore Carol. Soak up the joy of relaxing in Him and reintroducing yourself to a more interesting diet. :o) Another unexpected twist -- no stent surgery. Surprises at every turn, but we are SO glad that God is in control! We are praying that little rascal stays put and does not cause any more trouble! Love you, J and J

  3. Carol, all of us at the Credit Union want you to know how much we love you. We will miss you at this year's Planning Conference, but we will think of you constantly.

  4. Our Maker has His ways that are unknown to us--things we cannot fathom but we, nevertheless, embrace with trust and faith. We KNOW that He loves us, we KNOW that we belong to Him, and we KNOW that our ultimate good is always His intention. Because of those things, we can rest from worry and fear; we can lay everything at His feet and have confidence that He holds us in the palm of His mighty hand. How amazing that the Creator of all things reaches out to us with His love and offers us eternity with Him! Surely, "No eye has seen, no hear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." Carol, my friend, I pray that you are strengthend by His Word, nourished with His presence, and calmed by His mighty love as you go through this journey.

    With much love,
    Carolyn Arneson
